Winner of the Pierre Gautier-Delaye Prize in 2018, Lucas Ribeyron is a resident of the Cité Internationale des Arts in 2019 and takes part in numerous exhibitions, including 'Appareiller' at the Palais de Tokyo in 2017, '100% l’Expo' during the 'Festival 100%' at La Villette in 2019, as well as multiple events at Villa Belleville and Shakirail. In 2021, sponsored by Miquel Barceló, he was the laureate (2nd prize ex-aequo) of the 24th Antoine Marin Painting Prize.

The fascination with the video surveillance control system and the relationship with the image it generates are the essence of the artist's approach.

His relationship with the urban environment raises a multitude of questions. The represented space is thus at the boundary of two worlds where the distance to the city is at play: urban belt or city center, what do these silhouettes do? Do they escape? Do they play? From this ambivalence comes the tension.

He literally deceives the viewer about the very nature of the image in order to question their passive relationship with screens, the surveillance technologies in service of a panoptic organization of society, the paradox between the hyper-accessibility of art reproductions via the internet and their degradation due to dematerialization.
